1. Zero Tolerance Policy
At BLIVERR, we are committed to maintaining a premium, high-quality catalog. We maintain a strict, zero-tolerance policy against copyright infringement, unauthorized sampling, piracy, and artificial streaming (fraud). Protecting the intellectual property of creators is our highest priority, and we work closely with our DSP partners (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) to ensure a fair ecosystem.
2. Copyright Infringement & Unauthorized Audio
You may only upload music to BLIVERR that you have 100% created yourself, or for which you have explicit, documented legal permission from the original copyright holder to distribute.
Strictly Prohibited Content:
- Uploading another artist's track under your own name.
- Remixes, mashups, or edits of existing songs without official clearance from the original master and publishing owners.
- Uncleared samples, beats, or instrumentals (including leased beats that do not grant distribution rights).
- Cover songs without securing the appropriate mechanical licenses prior to distribution.
- Audio ripped from YouTube, movies, video games, or public broadcasts.
3. Artificial Streaming & Fraud
Artificial streaming (also known as streaming fraud or botting) is the practice of artificially inflating play counts to manipulate algorithms or illicitly extract royalties.
Prohibited Activities Include:
- Using bots, scripts, or automated click-farms to generate streams.
- Paying third-party services that guarantee a specific number of streams, playlist placements, or followers (e.g., illegal playlist pitching services).
- "Stream farming" by playing your own music on loop across multiple devices.
DSPs employ sophisticated algorithms to detect irregular streaming patterns. If artificial streaming is detected on your catalog, stores will withhold royalties, and BLIVERR will be forced to take immediate action against your account.
4. Consequences of Policy Violation
If BLIVERR or our digital partners determine that your account has violated our Anti-Piracy or Fraud policies, we reserve the right to enforce the following penalties without prior warning:
- Immediate takedown of the infringing release(s) from all global storefronts.
- Permanent suspension and termination of your BLIVERR account.
- Forfeiture and freezing of all accumulated royalties, which may be refunded to the DSPs or rightsholders.
- Potential legal action and cooperation with law enforcement or copyright owners if severe financial fraud is detected.
5. Reporting Infringement (DMCA)
If you believe that your intellectual property has been uploaded to BLIVERR without your consent, please submit a formal Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) takedown notice to our compliance team.
How to file a claim:
Send an email to copyright@bliverr.com containing:
- Links to the infringing content (Spotify, Apple Music, etc.).
- Proof of your original copyright (ISRCs, original release dates, master files).
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
